Rema's Recipe for a Ripped Body

Rema reveals_I got my six-packs from fetching water, hunger, hard work.

Images of intense gym sessions and strict diets probably come to our common-sense when you think of a chiseled, six-pack physique, right? But sensational Nigerian singer, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, in a recent interview with Spotify, disclosed the surprising secret behind his enviable body: "Poverty and Hunger!"

Yes, you read that right. Rema claims that his journey from rags to riches also transformed his physical appearance.

Born and raised in Benin, Rema had endured the hardships of a challenging upbringing. Fetching water from a well and lugging heavy buckets became a part of his daily routine. Little did he know that these physically demanding tasks were laying the foundation for his sculpted figure. "I don't go to the gym," Rema proudly proclaimed. "I always had my body patterns, way back since Benin, fetching water, carrying buckets of water, you know, wheelbarrows."

But Rema's body transformation didn't stop there. The artist's hustle took him to Ghana, where he found himself engaged in grueling labor. It was during these trying times when hunger gnawed at his stomach that his packs emerged. With a hint of laughter, Rema shared, "You know, days that I starved, my packs just came out, like [laughs]." It seems hunger became his unlikely personal trainer, sculpting his abs one day of starvation at a time.
