Naira Marley Vows to Return To Nigeria To Help in Mohbad's Investigation

Naira Marley, I'm not on the run

Nigerian artist Naira Marley, real name as Azeez Adeshina Fashola, has declared his intention to return to Nigeria to assist in the ongoing investigation surrounding the tragic passing of his former signee, Mohbad (Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba). Marley, who had been abroad for over a week prior to Mohbad's death, emphasized that he is not evading authorities and is eager to provide his perspective.

Addressing the swirling rumors about his character, Marley firmly asserted his innocence, stating, "I have no reason to be on the run when I played no part in his passing." He pledged full cooperation with law enforcement and offered reassurance that his legal team is liaising with the appropriate agencies.

The singer also clarified that there was no animosity or mistreatment directed towards Mohbad during their professional association. He vehemently denied orchestrating any harm against the late artist, emphasizing his commitment to honoring Mohbad's memory and supporting his family.

Mohbad, a former member of Marley's record label, passed away on September 12, 2023, prompting speculation and scrutiny. Naira Marley, along with his associate Sammy Larry and label, have long distanced themselves from any involvement in the unfortunate incident.
