Sanwo-Olu's Victory Upheld as Tribunal Dismisses PDP and LP Petitions

Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu
The Lagos Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal has quashed the petitions lodged by Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party and Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, of the People's Democratic Party.

Their legal challenge to the victory of Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the fiercely contested March 18 gubernatorial election has been dismissed.

Jandor, a prominent figure, had contested the outcome of the election, seeking to overturn the triumph of Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Dr. Obafemi Hamzat. The tribunal, presided over by Justice Mikhail Abdullah, delivered its judgment after meticulously considering the objections raised by the respondents in this very controversial case.

The verdict solidifies Sanwo-Olu's mandate and sets a profound precedent in Lagos state's political landscape, affirming the people's choice.
