new details of Mohbad's death

In a recent update, Lagos Police Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, has shed more light on the circumstances surrounding the demise of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as MohBad. Following a performance at Ikorodu Town Hall on September 10, 2023, MohBad was involved in a serious altercation with his friend, Oladunni Ibrahim, alias Primeboy. Owohunwa disclosed that MohBad sustained a severe injury during the altercation, resulting in profuse bleeding.

Despite the severity of the injury, MohBad resisted seeking medical attention, even against the advice of his wife and friends. Upon returning to his residence in Lekki, the situation worsened as his hand swelled considerably, causing him intense pain. He persisted in seeking treatment at home and attempted to contact his nurse, who was unavailable at the time.

A friend offered to summon an alternative nurse, referred to as a 'quack' by some accounts. This nurse arrived the following day and administered three injections to MohBad. Tragically, these injections led to severe complications, culminating in MohBad's denise on Tuesday, September 12.

The incident unfolded after MohBad's performance around 11:00 PM. Faced with a blocked vehicle and an enthusiastic crowd, MohBad, reportedly in a somewhat inebriated state, grew frustrated. His friend, Ibrahim, urged him not to exit the vehicle for security reasons, further escalating the tension. This eventually culminated in a heated argument and physical altercation between the two.

During the altercation, MohBad struck the rear window of their Prado Jeep, resulting in a deep cut on his forehead and profuse bleeding. The situation was eventually brought under control, and they proceeded to MohBad's residence, leaving Ibrahim behind.

Upon their arrival at MohBad's home at approximately 2:00 AM on September 11, 2023, he adamantly refused to go to the hospital for treatment, despite the insistence of his wife, staff, and friends. Throughout the day, his condition deteriorated, and the pain became unbearable. Ayobami Sadiq, known as Spending, strongly advocated for him to seek medical attention, but MohBad resisted, opting to wait for his preferred nurse, Nurse Funmi.

Although the dead can't speak for themselves, but according to accounts.

Nurse Funmi was unavailable, so Spending suggested calling his own nurse, Ms. Feyisayo Ogedengbe, who MohBad agreed to see. Ms. Feyisayo, however, was also unavailable until the following day, Tuesday, September 12, 2023. Prior to her arrival, she requested a photo of the swollen hand for assessment.

When Ms. Feyisayo arrived on the 12th, she administered various medications. Unfortunately, shortly after the Ceftriaxone injection, MohBad experienced adverse reactions, including vomiting and goosebumps. Realizing the gravity of the situation, Ms. Feyisayo rushed to procure additional supplies. Tragically, by the time she returned, MohBad had started convulsing.

He was promptly taken to Cura-Med Hospital, Lekki, in the vehicle of their neighbor, Engr. Chinaka Jesse, along with Cynthia Omoduni Adebanjo, Aduragbemi Shedrack Aloba, Olarewaju Idris Adedoja, Ayinde Habib Idowu Damola, and Ms. Feyisayo. Despite their efforts, MohBad was pronounced dead on arrival. His passing was later re-certified at Perez Hospital, Lekki.

Mohbad's death was confirmed and issued by Cura-Med Hospital. Following a brief meeting, MohBad's father, along with the involved parties, decided to move his body to Ikorodu for burial, which took place on September 13, 2023, around 2:00 PM.
