The Kano State Government has confirmed that during a recent nationwide protest that turned violent, crucial documents related to corruption charges against former Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje were stolen. The protest caused significant damage to the Kano State High Court. Authorities have verified that individuals involved in the unrest were responsible for the theft of these documents.

This situation has sparked considerable debate online and among politicians, with some questioning the true motives behind the protest and suggesting possible political agendas influencing the theft.

According to a statement from the Kano State Government, "The hired miscreants carted away documents related to the corruption charges against former Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who is facing multiple allegations before the state High Court."

The statement further noted, "It is very unfortunate that enemies of Kano State hired undesirable elements to vandalize one of our historic public buildings with the intention of obstructing corruption charges against the Acting National Chairman of the APC and former governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, his family, and aides."

The statement also mentioned that the vandals severely damaged various parts of the court, including the office of the state Chief Judge.

The governor has urged the youth in the state to refrain from being exploited for violent actions and instead focus on skill development for a better future. He emphasized that the government will remain committed to safeguarding the lives and property of Kano State's residents and has ordered immediate repairs to the damaged building and the deployment of enhanced security measures to ensure effective justice delivery.
